A Weekend in Clare For County Kildare


It started on a Friday after training I was told that I would represent Kilcullen in a Kildare hurling under twelve squad.Along with myself , Gary Kelly and Dylan Mulhall were also picked. We had four training sessions to be ready for the trip to Clare.

We left early on Saturday the seventeenth of September. We had a match that day at two o clock against Liscannor. We had a squad of 25 everyone played a half, Dylan scored three goals, myself and Gary played in the backs Gary made some fine clearances we won the game 9-12 to 1-05 we were delighted and the people from Clare were a bit shocked .After that we got back on the bus and headed to Lahinch where we stayed the night. We didn't sleep too much that night.

Next morning we played Enistymon in another match. This time the team were much better or the lack of sleep caught up with us .We won 1-05 to 0-05 in a much harder game. After this match we were brought to Limerick to see Kilkenny and Galway in the U21 All Ireland final. It was a great game. It was a great weekend and all the lads had a brilliant time.
